Britney Spears Bringing Sons to ‘Circus’

Talk about a family Circus—today BritneySpears.com unveiled the elaborate stage plan for her upcoming world tour, and let on that Britney is taking her boys on the road.

“Both Sean Preston [3] and Jayden James [2] will, in fact, be joining Britney throughout the duration of her tour,” the site reads.
The boys will sweep North American with mom while she puts up an act that’s “sexy, fun, explosive, and full of surprises,” with stops in Canada and across the pond to the UK.

The news must come as a relief to Britney fans the world over, as this morning a firestorm hit blogs with speculation that the 26-year-old would yank the entire tour if ex-husband Kevin Federline refused to let the children travel with her.

Reps for 30-year-old Federline declined to comment on his support of the three-month trek, while his attorney Mark Kaplan was unavailable to respond.
Currently, he retains custody of both boys with equal visitation for both parents.

While devotees will get Britney in all her motherly glory, sadly the singer’s Slave 4 U Days a close—don’t expect any giant snakes this time out.

“While avoiding such traditional circus elements as live animals, we’ve created something innovative and exciting using contortionists, dancers, lighting, fire and other special effects,” the site elaborates.

Lutfi Lawyer: Money’s Not Behind Britney Spears Lawsuit

Sam Lutfi ain’t broke.

At least, that’s what his lawyer Bryan Freedman says.

The attorney tells E! News any suggestion that Lutfi is suing former pal Britney Spears and her family to pay off his debts and prevent foreclosure on his home is false.

“It’s nonsense,” Freedman says. “The homeowners association misplaced two checks. The checks were paid. This is just more lies and misrepresentation about a guy who is a great, caring human being.”
Well, that’s not entirely true…

E! News has obtained a copy of a county tax record confirming that Lutfi’s West L.A. condo is in preforeclosure. The record reveals that Brit’s ex-manager received a notice of default in November 2008 after getting behind in his mortgage payments. Currently, Lutfi owes $18,508 on his 3,398 square foot, three-bedroom, five-bathroom condo.

Freedman says his client still cares about Spears and only named her in the defamation lawsuit he filed Tuesday for procedural purposes.
“The real people denying payment have been the conservatorship,” claims Freedman.

As for the restraining order against him, Freedman says Lutfi hasn’t been contacting Britney, but the opposite may be the case.
“It seems to me maybe [the conservators] should be worried about people contacting Sam instead of Sam contacting her.”

Freedman also claims it is Spears’ parents, Jamie and Lynne, who look to do Britney harm and not Lutfi.
“Why would a supposedly loving mother write a tell-all about the sordid details of the two worst nights of her daughter’s life for a profit?” questions the lawman. “And why would a father, who claims his daughter is incompetent, send her on a massive tour when she can’t even manage her own affairs?”

Freedman says the lawsuit will likely go to court and Brit-Brit’s parents will have to face those questions.
“It just doesn’t make sense unless there’s some sort of motive,” says Freedman. “At the end of the day, I think there is going to be a trial to determine credibility.”

No word yet when Lutfi’s condo could turn into a foreclosure, but a local real estate agent tells E! News it is up to the mortgage lender to decide.

“If You Seek Amy” Radio controversy begins!

Profanity in pop songs is old news. Hell, the chorus to Christina Aguilera’s recent single, “Keeps Gettin’ Better,” kicks off with the phrase, “Some days I’m a super bi—.” That one is easy enough for radio stations to edit out in order to avoid any fines from the FCC or threats to yank their licenses.

But what will they do with a new single from a major artist that doesn’t actually contain a four-letter word, but rather spells it out in a not-so-subtle way? That dilemma is beginning to dawn on top-40 radio programmers across the country as the third single from album, “If U Seek Amy,” starts to make its way to the airwaves.

The cheeky title (try saying it fast) joins the tradition of album titles like Van Halen’s 1991 For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge. The chorus doesn’t even try to make grammatical sense of the phrase: “But all of the boys and all of the girls are begging to if you seek Amy.”

The spelled-out profanity puts the song into a legal gray area for radio stations.

“It’s OK to put in on an album, have fun with it, but we’re publicly owned, you know?” said Patti Marshall, program director at Cincinnati’s Q102, a pop station in a decidedly conservative Midwestern market. “We have a responsibility to the public … you put this … out and act like we’re all fuddy-duddies, like we’re trying to make moral judgments. It’s not about us. It’s about the mom in the minivan with her 8-year-old.”

Like several programmers we talked to, Marshall said she had not yet been told that “Amy” was the next single from Circus. She’s still busy playing the album’s title track, which was recently released as the second single. Asked if she would play “Amy” if it came to her as a single, Marshall said likely wouldn’t. She likened its chorus (which she has not heard) to “a little boy in sixth grade doing arm farts.”

A spokesperson for the Federal Communications Commission did not return calls for comment, and Spears’ label confirmed the choice of the single but would not comment on its content or any potential issues at radio.

Sharon Dastur, program director at Z100 in New York, also had not yet heard the song and said she’s not sure what the station’s plans are for it. She compared its possible problems to those faced by her station in 2005 upon the release of the Black Eyed Peas single “Don’t Phunk With My Heart.”

“Listeners thought it was the other word, and so we had to change it to ‘mess,’ ” she said. That example was also the first that popped to mind for KIIS FM Los Angeles program director John Ivey, who said he knew he couldn’t play the Peas’ song as originally recorded but felt that censoring it would make it sound more nefarious, so he asked the group’s label for a new version.

“It’s a potential issue for every station,” Ivey said of the Spears single. “I’m certain that I would run it by my legal department first. My first job is to protect [the station's] license. … It’s better to be safe than sorry.”

Asked if he would recut the song to edit out the naughty bits, Ivey said he probably wouldn’t because he felt the phrase was included in the song to provoke, so an alteration would change its intention. “[Spears' label, Jive,] might also be just floating it out there to see if they can stir things up a bit.”

Forget last year’s disastrous turn at the MTV Video Music Awards. Britney Spears is back! In her first live performance since her hospitalization in January, the pop star takes the stage at Germany’s Bambi Awards for a dance-filled, energetic rendition of her new single, “Womanizer.” It was a victorious moment for Spears, who began 2008 under psychiatric care, and has slowly been working her way back into the public eye.

Simon Wants Britney On ‘American Idol’

Some of the biggest singer/songwriters in pop history have visited “American Idol” over the past few seasons: Mariah Carey, Dolly Parton, Neil Diamond, Tony Bennett, Jon Bon Jovi and even Bono.

But while judge Simon Cowell said during a conference call Wednesday (December 17) that the show has never been able to nail down the one mentor it has tried to get “every year” to help the kids on the show — ex-Beatle Paul McCartney — he has big hopes for this year’s slate of mentors. Specifically, he has one name in mind that he would love to see on the marquee: Britney Spears.

“She would, literally, be first on the list as far as I’m concerned in any capacity,” Cowell said. He didn’t actually divulge who would appear as mentors/performers for the upcoming season — which kicks off January 13 — but he said the door is open any week for Britney to drop in. “I would love to see her mentor the contestants, but if she doesn’t want to do that, and she wants to come on the show and perform, I would welcome her anytime.”

Part of the reason Cowell is so open to Spears stopping by is that when she appeared on his British talent show “X-Factor” recently, “The buzz we had on our show when she came on was extraordinary. And even with all the stuff that’s gone on with her the past two years, there was more excitement and interest in her than I’ve seen in anyone in years. She would be very, very welcome.”

McCartney and Spears are at the top of the list, but Cowell said he’d also love to have another recent “X-Factor” guest make her way to “Idol”: Beyoncé. “We just recently had Beyoncé on the British version of the show. … [She] was absolutely incredible. … You want those kinds of artists. I’d like people with personalities.”

He also opened the door for a couple of past judges/mentors he’d like to see come back: Lionel Richie and filmmaker Quentin Tarantino.

Britney’s ‘Circus’ is No 2 This Week

Taylor Swift and Britney Spears swapped places on the top of the Billboard album chart this week. Ms. Swift, whose “Fearless” (Big Machine) reached No. 1 five weeks ago and has been hovering in the Top 5 since, returns with 249,000 copies sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Ms. Spears’s “Circus” (Jive), last week’s best seller, fell to No. 2 with 200,000. The rest of the Top 5, in a week with few major new release, is familiar. Beyoncé’s “I Am … Sasha Fierce” (Columbia) holds at No. 3, Nickelback’s “Dark Horse” (Roadrunner) is No. 4, and the “Twilight” soundtrack (Atlantic) reached No. 5.

Welcome to Britney In the Zone, the new home of #1 Britney Spears fans and OMG that Britney Shameless. I have gone though alot of names for this site. Once again now that I am done with some of my other sites besides the updates. I have time to work on this site. It's gonna take some time so please bare with me.

Since I have another site and 4 forums that I got to work on. This site may not be updated as often as I would like it to be. As I am doing it on my own. But I will try my best to get you up to date news on Britney Spears. Right now its gonna take some time to get the site up. I hope to maybe get if finished in a few months. But I can't promise any thing right now.
